Steel Rails (Alysia Groth with Blue Jimmy) travels to Portageville as part of the Country Done Come To Town Tour on February 28! Letchworth Pines is the venue.
A favorite venue, and we’ll be showcasing some rare Blue Jimmy deep cuts in an acoustic format.
We’ve just updated our calendar with 3 shows in and around Rochester, NY!
Hi all, just a heads up that while the band is working behind the scenes for most of this summer and enjoying some down time, I’ve booked a number of acoustic shows through August. I’ll have them posted here on BlueJimmy.com
OK, so the word has been getting out there, and it’s true: The Blue Jimmy *Live* CD is finally here! Pulling together a few year’s worth of recordings, mixing them, and mastering them has been a labor of love, and we can’t wait to share the CD with you.
For now, the easiest way to get a copy is to come to a Blue Jimmy show, or get in touch with any one of us. Our next two shows are:
Saturday, September 7
Big Red Barnfest
Friday, September 27
Sticky Lips BBQ Juke Joint
Get yer tunes! Play ‘em LOUD!!!
Thanks to Frank de Blase of City Newspaper for stopping out to our recent show at Sticky Lips Pit BBQ. Here’s his review:
“It’s been a while since I’ve caught the world beat/rootsicana of Bloomfield’s Blue Jimmy. These cats swung from honky tonk to funky tonk while the Friday night crowd at Sticky Lips Juke Joint swung from the rafters. And as varied as this band gets — “Blister In The Sun,” hello? — it’s all strung out and strung together with some hell-bound, angelic harmony.”
